Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic

THIS IS MY FAVOURITE ANIME ANY CRITICS ABOUT THIS ANIME WITHOUT WATCHING IT WILL HAVE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES!

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic is an anime written  by Shinobu Ohtaka and directed by Koji Masunari director of A-1 Pictures . This anime is inside the category of Shonen, because it's all about adventures and action. This anime is most likely featured like the story of the Thousand and One Night story because of the names of the main characters as Aladdin, Alibaba, Sinbad, Morgiana, Yuunan, Heliopath...

This anime is about a boy called Aladdin whose existence was not allowed in the world until he had a chance to explore the world by himself. On his way he finds out that he is a "Magi" a Mage of The Creation, loved by the Rukh the essence of life in the world and most magic's source. But so far he finds out what is he there are other people that don't want follow the right route of the destiny and they reverse their own destiny turning all into despair and nothingness and Aladdin must stop it from being spread.

I really liked this anime, it has two season with 24 chapters and most of it made me think about the destiny of each person and how bad would be for someone to reverse their destiny. Well those feelings cannot be explained if you didn't watch this anime. I liked it that much that I read the manga every week.

DIFFERENCES ABOUT THE BOOK AND THE FILM

Question 1. SETTING: Places Where does the classical play and the new version take place?
Example: Verona VS Verona Beach. Where are they? Which country?

In the film the place they filmed the film it's in Verona Beach in United States, a hot neighbourhood decorated with 20th century style. However Verona from the book of Romeo and Juliet it's in Italy not in United States and in the 14th century not the 20th.

Question 2. IMAGERY: metaphors & images:
WATER and FIRE, LIGHT and DARKNESS,  the MOON... What do they  mean?

Generally the Water symbolism has a universal undertone of purity and fertility, it also symbolizes life, motion, renewal, blessing, intuition, reflection, subconscious, fertilization, purification and transformation. However the Fire symbolism allows you to hold the power and the passion of the Gods, right in the palm of your metaphorical hand. It also symbolizes energy, passion, power, action, sexuality, creativity, authority, consumption, the untamed, destruction...

The Light it's the spiritual and the divine, it's illumination and intelligence. Ligth is the source of goodness and the ultimate reality. Light is knowledge, purity and morality. However Darkness is  a symbol of evil or mystery of fear. The darkness is almost a monster waiting to swallow you whole.

The moon is a symbol of subtlety. It also means time, cycles, psyche, wonder, shadow, balance, renewal, mystery, emotion, intuition, passivity, influence, fertility, transition, femininity, perception, progression, receptivity, illumination...

The meaning of Lightning in the film it's all about Power, clarity, sacred, fertility, creativity, revelation, inspiration, destruction, enlightenment or announcement.

Question 3. LANGUAGE. Which characters speak in verse and which in prose? Who is the narrator?
All the characters that appear in the book and also appears in the film talk in verse because of original sentences of Shakespeare. Although in the film the narrator it's the News Woman and she speaks in prose.

Question 4. THE FANCY DRESS PARTY. What's the role of the costumes the characters wear?
In the film Juliet wears a costume of an Angel, meaning of purity and naivety. Tybalt is dressed with a Devil's costume, meaning of evilness, power, destruction...

Question 5. ELEMENTS. To make the new version, basic elements have been changed. Example: swords for gun. In the film the man who gaves poison to Romeo is a drugdealer and in the book  Romeo bought it in a shop. And Romeo brought a mask to the party not a suit of a knitght, furthermore Juliet was'nt dressed and in the film was disguised as an Angel. The Prince of Verona is actually a Prince not a Police Station Captain. The nurse in the book is the maid in the film. The tomb of Juliet is a cript not a tomb inside of a church, otherwise the church was over decorated. Juliet dies with a dagger in the book, not as in the film that she dies with a gunshot in her head.

Question 6. Other differences of the classical version and the film version. Verona It's a medieval city not a modern city with skyscrappers and policemen. Mantua was supposed to be a town not a moving group convoy.

The Madness

People often thinks that Madness is a mental illness. But sometimes is more than that, It  is a mental disorder.
A "mental disorder" is difficult to define. Generally speaking , mental disorders are conditions that involve either loss of contact with reality or distress and impairment. These experiences may pass undiscovered in the life and it's impossible to define the point at which they become pathological. Furthermore, concepts such as schizophrenia, depression, and personality disorder listed in classifications of mental disorders may not in fact map onto any real or distinct disease entities; even if they do, the symptoms and clinical manifestations that define them are open to subjective interpretation.

However there are people that think they are not mad or ill and his brain doesn't accept those thoughts and it erase  them from their mind, making them totally not remember what happened, sometimes it is due to the mental shock or trauma they suffer or suffered and this makes them fell sometimes into his own demons from inside.

How I feel about the incoming summer

Whoa, I was waiting for this moment, now I can make a post about how I feel about the incoming summer!

First of all , I would like that the freedays come now, without waiting for them to begin. Next thing I would do is sleep the next day till afternoon because I want to regain the lost time of sleep during all the days in the highschool. You know? I'm a sleepy bear , I like to sleep a lot, my friends often says me that, and I agree with them.

The best part will be the beach, I am anxious to go there with my friends and swim a little bit in the warm sea, heated up by the Sun. I would also like to play with them  some beach sports in the sand, like Handball, Voleyball, football...

The best part of summer is that I will go to friend's house to play with them , laugh with them , sleep in their houses and of course have fun playing computer games together, It's better than separated or alone. ç

Please Summer Come to us quickly! I want to enjoy you with open arms!

Love Song

Like the others say, i can know your pain
But i couldn't get used to it
As another bird has gone
It's like seven years alone
I just couldn't get used to it
And i believe in what i see here in your eyes
And i believe in what i see here in your eyes
I believe in what is real
The only thing is pain and it's so real
And i thank you for listening to how i feel
'cause it's just what i needed, like the pain that made it real
And i finally found out how, because you finally showed me how
It feels to be you, and to be me... and to be me... and to be

Fast forward yesterday, to the things i wouldn't say
'cause i couldn't get used to it
Guess everything's my fault and i shouldn't do nothin' at all
'cause i couldn't get used to it.
'cause i believe in what i see here in your eyes
I believe in what i see 'cause i believe in what is real
If the only thing is pain then it's "so real"
And i thank you for listening to how i feel
'cause it's just what i needed, like the pain that made it real
And i finally found out how, because you finally showed me how
It feels to be you, and to be me... and to be me... and to be...
If i could i would i'd do anything to take back the hurt, frustration and the pain it brings
Some of those times you sat alone and realized "fuck!"
That's not the way you should have wanted it
If all of my actions show
It was good to be you and to be me again.
If all of my actions show, then all of the truth be told and all of my...

Traducció al Català

Com ho diuen els altres, conec el teu sofriment
Però no m'hi he pogut acostumar
I finalment he descobert com, perquè tu finalment m'has ensenyat com
Se sent ser tu, i ser jo.... i ser jo.. i de ser.

Ha passat de pressa ahir, i les coses que no podria dir

Perquè no m'hi he pogut acostumar
Suposo que és culpa meva tot i no hauria de fer res del tot
Perquè no m'hi he pogut acostumar
I finalment he descobert com, perquè tu finalment m'has ensenyat com

This song is about a friendly love, about someone who listens to your pains and you feel comforted by him because you see another reality. Maybe who wrote this song had a rupture with someone who loved him and he needed someone who could comfort him.

An Experience in Italy

We went on Italy just after the easter weekend, on 28th of March. The first day I felt nervous because I never ever flew with my friends from the high school to another country. When we arrived to Pisa and saw the famous Tower of Pisa/Babble I felt disappointed because I thought that it was bigger and wider, it was all opposite to my thoughts. We then arrived to the hotel of Montecatini and spend the night there, the room was small with two beds and a berth. Next day we went to Florence for a day. We visited the dome of Bruneleski with its 800 steps, finally at the top of the dome we took beautiful photos of Florence. We had to wait almost 3 hours to get up there because there were a lot of people waiting to enter into the dome and the stairs to the top of the dome weren't wide enough for 2 persons to pass trough and there was only 1 stair leading there so..  it was kinda a mess in there with all those people going up and down. We didn't have dinner in the hotel, but in a restaurant of Florence. Anyway everyday we had to wake up at 8 a.m because at 9 a.m we had to take the bus leading us to another place, we had breakfast there too.

Next day , we had to go to Rome but we stopped for a few moments in Sienna to look some buildings made of red marble because the dome of Bruneleski was made of white and green marble (from the outside) it looked like a striped building. The trip to Rome was like three hours long, some people were asleep when we arrived to Rome, it was 6:30 p.m already. We rested until 8 p.m when we had to go visit Rome a litte bit, Fontanne di Trevia...   and have dinner in a restaurant. The next day we took the metro because the city of the Vatican was quite far away. We were there half a day and then we went to the Pantheon of Rome, we also took photos of the paintings inside the Vatican and the Pantheon.

The last day in Rome we visited the Coliseum and the Forum of Rome. Then we took the bus from the hotel at 6:30 p.m to Chibitabequia were we waited for the ship to arrive. We embarked the ship at 3 a.m, some people were exhausted and some others wanted to go to the disco that the ship had on it. Personally I went there for an hour and then I went to my room, I felt dizzy,  and I've fallen  asleep there. I woke up at 12 p.m and then had dinner before going to explore a litte bit the ship. Not to mention that the ship was enormous and it had its own restaurant and

Describing a Photo (2)

Juegos de luz en la Selva de Tailandia

In this photo we can see a beautiful lake, that seems clear of contaminations. In the background we can see a blue waterfall and in the bottom left part a tree with orange leaves. We can also see some tree leaves floating in the lake.

I chosed this photo because it's one of the most beautiful forests in the world and it really makes a quite impresion of it.If you see this photo the only thing that comes to your mind is : DETERMINATION, BEAUTY, and RELAX.

Describing a photo

Picture of Mexican border

Okay, In this photo we can see the grand wall that separates USA from the rest of South-America like Mexico. This wall is about 1.204 Km of long, even it's inside the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacifist Ocean. We can see in the photos that the walls passes trough towns and separates a town in one half is Mexico and the other one is from USA. Many people didn't agree with that and tried to tear apart the wall but there are guards around the wall and nobody can approach if you don't have documents.

Seeing this photo I feel sad, because this is a clear sign of racism of USA and Mexico and that there are no signs of mercy of USA for people of Mexico that tries to enter into USA in search of work because Mexico is in a poor state right now. We can also say that those photos are striking and shocking.

Fate or Coincidence?

Many people think that the life has a fate that it's written from the beginning of our lives. But, we must also talk about the people that doesn't believe in fate and thinks that all the actions that happen in you life are just mere coincidences. So, if we think about it in a religious way we see that everyone who believe in God/Al·là, etc. Say that their fate is written from the beginning and the meaning of life is to pray to god to have mercy with their souls. The other way is like: You don't believe in FATE but in the ACTIONS that guides you in differents ways your life. For example, if you choose a way to a park you can find a girl that in the future could be your wife, or choose the other way and die by a car. Those facts, are just mere facts that happened by COINCIDENCE. Many philosophers sought the meaning of life, but, nobody found it because WE CAN'T, WE DON'T KNOW THE MEANING OF BE ALIVE UNTIL WE DIE. So this question in my opinion it's ridiculous, anybody can think about ther fate in different ways: A curse, a coincidence, an action, karma, sins... . So feel free to think wathever you want!

Olivia Arthur

I chose one of the magnum photographers, her name's :  Olivia Arhur

Olivia was born in London and grew up in the UK. She studied mathematics at Oxford University and photojournalism at the London College of Printing.

She began working as a photographer in 2003 after moving to Delhi and was based in India for two and a  half years.

She continues to return to India - where her long-term work has been supported by a grant from the Fondation Jean-Luc Lagadere in Paris - and to work in London where she lives.

In 2006 she left for Italy to take up a one-year residency with Fabrica, during which she began working on a series about women and the East-West cultural divide. This work has taken her to the border between Europe and Asia, Iran and Saudi Arabia. She has recieved support from the Inge Morath Award, the National Media Museum, OjodePez-PhotoEspana Award for Human Values.

In 2010 she co-founded Fishbar, a space for photography in London with Philipp Ebeling.
Her first book Jeddah Diary, about young women in Saudi Arabia, was published in 2012.

Undertale

I chose one of my favourite games until now because I played it and finished it like 5 times in a row, 2 weeks ago. I really liked it because it has 3 different endings, we call them in-game "Routes", one of the routes is called "The True Pacifist Route", the opposite of that route is "The Genocide Route", and if you do some things of genocide route and the  pacifist one you end up with the "Neutral Route".  The story is about a place underground were the monsters were sealed by 7 powerful human magicians,  the humans won the "Human and Monsters War" and the monsters had to live underground, under the surface were the humans live. From here comes the name "Undertale" because it's a game about the story of the underground with one human who fell trough a hole in Mt. Ebott, the only entrance to the underground. I could  talk about the endings but I don't want to do spoilers, so I won't tell you! . Oh , of course I must say that the soundtracks of this game are exciting, touching, creepy sometimes (depends wich route you're doing). It's cool for me because there isn't a person singing the song, it's just instrumental. I will show you some right now:

Imagine this song playing in the background when you fight one of the most difficult battles in the game. Kinda exciting isn't it?

And there are some touching  soundtracks like this one :

Sorry, I forgot to tell you that this game was created by Toby Fox, the soundtracks included. And the has a category of "RPG" (A.K.A: Role-Playing Game), because when you fight monsters while you are doing the route you can "FIGHT" to defeat them, and gain EXP and LOVE  or "ACT" for then do  "MERCY" and "SPARE"  to spare the monster. If you have low HP you can use items too! So if you're worried about dying you can think about take with you some items before you fight bosses and other stuff to make battles easier! The goal of a battle is not to be touched  by incoming objects, you must protect you SOUL wich is a Heart:

I must tell you that the True Pacifist Route was the first one I did and  in the ending it makes you cry ( I cried some too ) , also the story has some unfold mysteries too.

That's all for now! If you're interested in this game you can buy it for 9,99€ in Steam if you like...

Some protections against the evil

  • The first thing evil creatures doesn't like is the salt. In the past the salt was used as a method of purification, to clean the sins you make.  You can put it in the edge of a door or in the windows to protect you from the evil spirits.
  • The second thing evil craetures doesn't like is holy water. You can bless the water by saying in latin those words I exorcise thee, O Creature of Water, by Him Who hath created thee and gathered thee together into one place so that the dry land appeared, that thou uncover all the deceits of the Enemy, and that thou cast out from thee all the impurities and uncleanness of the Spirits of the World of Phantasm, so they may harm me not, through the virtue of God Almighty Who liveth and reigneth unto the Ages of the Ages. Amen.” and you finish by putting in a Rosary.

  • The third thing evil creatures don't like is Iron. It's good to have a piece of iron somewhere as a protection tool.
